A two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with sweep- ing views of the NewYork City skyline and Central Park in need of a major overhaul. We did a full remodel of the apartment choosing soft tones, natural woods, and a variety of textures to create some major “sanctuary” vibes throughout and let NewYork City be the star of the show.
With no formal dining room space, we maximized seating by extending the kitchen island and positioning a small, round dining room table on the edge of the living room facing outwards towards the breathtaking views of the city. Custom cabinets cover the in-unit washer dryer in the kitchen.
We chose a dark blue grasscloth wallpaper for the primary bedroom that adds depth and texture to an otherwise airy and ethereal room. Light woods paired with carrara marble give the room a warm, elegant feel. As always, we brought in plenty of plants to introduce that much needed dose of nature.
We incorporated biomorphic shapes, another way to bring nature into a space, via wallpaper and a curved headboard – providing a fun and unexpected twist in the guest bedroom.
Marble paired with light woods, grey herringbone tile and black bathroom fixtures give the primary bathroom a modern, fresh look while remaining light and airy.
