Hello!
This month we’re taking you behind the scenes to give you a tour of an office space we recently completed for DesignStudio, an international branding agency with offices in London, Sydney and now… Long Island City, NY.
I wanted to share this project with you because it was a special one. So much consideration was given to how employees work and what they need in a hybrid model. We went deep – and that’s something we love to do with our clients.
Check out the tour to see what the ideal hybrid office looks like. And of course, if you have any questions or want to comment you know where to find me- just hit reply!
Sending lots of ❤️,
OFFICE DESIGN TOUR: DESIGN STUDIO, LIC, NY
DesignStudio, an international branding agency, commissioned us to create their new US headquarters in Long Island City, New York. Collaborating closely with these dynamic clients, known for their storytelling prowess, and inspired by the vibrant culture of Queens, our design process was marked by thoughtful collaboration and purposeful choices.
The culmination of our efforts is a 4,000 square foot office space that seamlessly integrates the brand’s identity with the essence of its new home in New York City.
HOW WE CREATED THE PERFECT HYBRID OFFICE SPACE
In response to the evolving dynamics of how people work today, our full service design for DesignStudio’s LIC office prioritized the creation of diverse and adaptable workspaces. Recognizing the shift towards hybrid work models and the increasing reliance on digital collaboration, we curated a range of environments to cater to different types of tasks and interactions.
We also focused on creating an inviting environment for hosting events and welcoming clients. Understanding the importance of these spaces as extensions of the brand’s identity and culture, we included areas that seamlessly transition from everyday work to special occasions.
OUR OFFICE DESIGN INSPIRATION
Aesthetically, our design approach blends mid-century, industrial, and modern aesthetics, paying homage to the historic Plaxall building where the office resides. The space features curated art and décor celebrating New York and Queens, alongside a custom neon sign crafted by a local vendor, adding a unique touch to the office ambiance.
