This project was the ultimate design challenge – infusing a 6,100 square foot colonial style home from 1929 with our signature style of eclectic modern pop with minimal construction.
We honored the original architectural details and by painting the rooms a soothing off-white, it provided us with a blank canvas to work with.We included pops of complimentary color with furniture and brought in personality and style via abstract art and meticulously curated objects and accessories.
We created a ‘wow’ moment in the dining room as it is a major focal area that can be seen from the entry, and modernized the ceiling moldings by painting the entire ceiling a terracotta color.
Creating a sanctuary-like space is one of the tenants of the holistic interior design approach. Based on our client’s lifestyle, we decided the primary bedroom would be the most suitable place for this. We chose light woods, soothing textures, and a whimsical wallpaper to create a space where our clients can go for deep rest and relaxation.

Since the kitchen and family room are typically the rooms that are used the most in a home, we focused on creating a super functional, warm and durable space that is both welcoming and can withstand everyday wear and tear.
