DWELL IN THE NOW: MY FIRST BRAND COLLAB WITH SOAKE POOLS (!!)

Hello!

I’m so excited to share that I’ve just partnered with Soake Pools for my first-ever brand collaboration — and yep, it was a splash 💦 (ha!).

Now, if you know me, you know brand collaborations have never really been the goal. So when Soake first reached out, I hesitated. I mean… what did I know about designing a pool collection? Absolutely nothing.

But then I hopped on a Zoom call with their owner and head of special projects — both badass women — and something clicked. Soake is privately owned, run by a small and mighty team who feel more like family than coworkers. That alone felt aligned. And the fact that they offer a beautifully designed luxury product within a compact footprint? That’s right in line with our “less is more” holistic approach to design.

From there, the collection came together easily and intuitively — the way all aligned things generally do ✨. It’s infused with the same holistic lens I bring to every project, and I can’t wait for you to see it.

Scroll down to explore the collection and the inspiration behind it — and let me know what you think!

Sending you lots of 💛,

LET'S TALK ABOUT PLUNGE POOLS

We created two custom, limited-edition designs: BREATHE and AWAKEN. Each one was developed with deep intention — for how you feel stepping in, not just how it looks from the outside (though, yes, they look really good too).

BREATHE is your go-to for grounding. Think soft pink and mint tiles with travertine-style porcelain, creating an overall vibe that feels like a deep exhale. It’s quiet, calming, and designed for those moments when you just need to be. The etched mantra “BE HERE NOW” is built right into the pool’s edge — not just as a design detail, but as a gentle reminder to return to yourself in the moment. No phone. No rush. Just presence.

AWAKEN has more energy. It’s textured, a little bolder, and designed to refresh and revitalize. With abstract greys and warm beige, speckled seafoam shimmer at the waterline, and crisp contrast grout for a modern edge, this one is meant to wake up your senses. The intention here? Reconnection with your own vitality. Like a cold plunge after a long day or a creative kickstart in the morning.

Both were designed through the lens of holistic interior design and are meant to act as mini sanctuaries — for self-care, for ritual, for feeling fully alive in your body.

WHY THIS MATTERS

As someone who designs spaces to support people on the inside — emotionally, mentally, energetically — I’ve always said design is a tool for transformation. These pools are a natural extension of that belief. They’re beautiful, yes, but they’re also functional, grounding, energizing, and intuitive.

And partnering with Soake made it all possible. Their whole ethos is about bringing high-design plunge pools to more people, without the cost or complexity of traditional installations. They’re modular, quick to install (6–8 weeks!), and sized for real life — which I love as someone who believes good design doesn’t have to be big to be impactful.

SUSTAINABILITY, ALWAYS

You know how much I care about environmental impact. So I was super happy to learn that all tile scraps and manufacturing waste from this collab are being recycled locally in New Hampshire. The materials will be repurposed through a sand and gravel facility for use in other construction projects across the state. Small detail, big ripple.

DEButing The pOOLS IRL

We debuted the BREATHE and AWAKEN pools this past April at High Point Market, and I couldn’t be more proud of how they turned out. They’re everything I hoped they’d be — a blend of beauty, wellness, and presence, grounded in the holistic design values we live by at Gala Magriñá Design.

This collab reminded me that when we stay true to our values and follow what feels aligned, magic happens — and I hope these pools help bring a little of that magic into your space too.
